What's new at 8th House...
PLUMSTUFF by Rolli is now available!
8th House Publishing is proud to announce the release of Rolli's (Charles Anderson's) PLUMSTUFF.
Rolli is a Canadian author, cartoonist and songwriter and the author of many acclaimed books for adults and children, including Kabungo and The Sea-Wave. Rolli’s stories, poems, drawings and essays are staples of The New York Times, The Saturday Evening Post, Playboy, The Wall Street Journal, Reader’s Digest, The Walrus, Rattle and other top outlets.
A poet-robot—a chain-smoking seductress—a dying connoisseur. All of these characters and more make appearances in this strikingly original poetry collection from acclaimed Canadian writer and illustrator Rolli.
The moon’s
a cool
moscato and
the sun
a sauvignon
Ripe with Rolli’s trademark economy, quotabilty and wit, these are poems to be gulped down like summer fruit.

Burning It Down Review... stay tuned for more.
"In Burning It Down, Darren Demaree guides the reader through a surreal night’s escapades. Laced with pockets of acerbic humor that lay bare a bruised and tender insight, his tercets tap a vein of anger, fury, hurt, and betrayal. Demaree makes you believe it when he writes “We were loud/enough to become vessels/& drunk enough not to care.” Here, fire is a cleansing agent and revenge fantasy coming for anyone who has turned their back on nature and humanity. Writing from the bosom of Ohio, he lets us know that “the smoke always begins from a necessary place” and that no one is getting away with it."
--Teri Ellen Cross Davis, author of a more perfect Union and Haint.
